GOOD MORNING! SWEET DAY!

The rising sun
In the brilliant blue sky
Smiling its shine
Into a beautiful bright morning
And glowing till the day is down

Wake up delighted
Wake up grateful
Wake up joyful
Wake up hopeful
Wake up excited

Embrace the morning with a smile
Let it sparkle all the way
Go out cheerful all day
Great way to start a again
Enjoy the sweetness of the day
As stunning opportunities smiles back at you

Have a great day
And a fulfilling week ahead

LENSES

I struggled for too long Being who I wasn’t Fitting  my circle into other people's
perfect squares -- into all their
expectations for me Their perception was all that mattered What they will see and say Their standard for success and achievement
I showed up acting who I wasn’t Like a dancing monkey under obligations to perform magic To gain their recognition and affirmations for being who I wasn’t Against being Me
I broke the chains and gained freedom the day I stopped looking at myself through other people’s lenses because I discovered people wore lenses tinted and shaded to suit them not Me

ABUSED - ‘SAYING SOCIETY’

ABUSED - ‘SAYING SOCIETY’ So loud So loud she shouted Shouting for help Every other night She is shouting I can hear her now He is hitting her again She's been hit, beat and battered Wounded inside out Lost her glow Lost herself-worth Lost her confidence Lost her smile All for what the society would say
She is grinding She is grieving She is dying Because the society won't listen to her No one wants to hear her own side of the story No one cares how she feels She has been told to stay there and fight for her home She has been admonished to stay and pray some more She has been told everything will be alright But for how long For how long She has been caged by what the society says
This 'saying society'
